Olga Shmuylovich

Was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, into the family of Beylya Berezina and Yakov Shmuylovich. Started studying art at the age of 8, in the studio of the prominent pedagogue Solomon Levin. Graduated from St. Petersburg State Steiglitz Academy of Art and Design, with BA and MA Degrees.                                 
Since 1992 lives in the USA.
Exhibited from early childhood: in India, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, the USA, Germany. Participated in the ‘’unsanctioned’’ (‘’underground’’) art movement in Russia in 1970-80; in 1975 became a member of the ‘’Aleph’’ Group of Jewish Artists. Worked with and for Petersburg Jewish University. Took part in various shows in US since 1976 (still being in Russia): Berkeley, CA; Louisville, KY; Cincinnati, OH; Boston, Brookline, Framingham, Natick, Newton, Waltham, MA.
